IT'S IN THE BAG AT FRESH ITALY

Expanding fresh Italian food takeaway, Fresh Italy has already experienced the considerable benefits of installing Tony Team’s TT180 Bag Compactor at its St. Paul’s branch in London.

Selecting the model from Tony Team’s range of 4 stainless steel compactor types, the franchise which offers fresh, healthy Italian fast food, has significantly reduced the cost of waste removal by compressing a daily average of 30 bags of commercial waste into just 3 or 4 compacted cubes.

Improving hygiene in the kitchen and minimising the amount of waste deposited on the pavement, the TT180 is constructed in food standard stainless steel and is ideal for use in commercial kitchens, factory production lines, coffee shops, bakeries, sandwich shops, restaurants and most quick service outlets.

Tom Allchurch, Fresh Italy’s founder is impressed with the changes that installing the TT180 has made, commenting; “Managing waste effectively in an outlet such as Fresh Italy makes a huge difference to the efficiency of the restaurant. We save space, money and are able to maintain extremely high levels of hygiene. The company is expanding fast and we intend to incorporate the TT180 in other branches as they open.”

The Tony Team compressor is electro-hydraulically powered, simple and safe to use and extremely effective as it reduces waste to just 14% of its original size and cubes it in sturdy polythene bags.

ROYAL ACADEMY MAKES WASTE MANAGEMENT AN ART

One of the country’s most reputable arts institutions, The Royal Academy of Arts in London has become another high-brow organisation to include Tony Team’s refuse handling equipment into its waste management programme.

In an effort to make cost savings and help to reduce environmental impact, the Academy has incorporated a TT40B cardboard baler into its catering unit, together with a TT1100E bin compactor to provide a cost effective means of removing card from the waste stream and efficiently compress non-recyclable rubbish.

Tony Team balers are compact and require minimal storage space to be fully operational both in and out of doors, while the bin compactor condenses waste directly into most standard four wheeled bins. Practical and simple to use, both machines can significantly reduce the quantity of waste sent to landfill, so cutting the cost of waste disposal.

David Vobes, Facilities Manager at the Royal Academy has been impressed with the improvements that installing the new system has made:

“By using the Tony Team baler to eliminate card from our organisation’s general rubbish, we are able to not only able to contribute to the UK’s ‘increased recycling of packaging waste’ initiative, but also make considerable savings on refuse removal costs and improve health and safety, by keeping areas tidy and clear of bulky waste.”

Remaining refuse is reduced with Tony Team’s TT1100E bin compactor which can reduce waste volumes by approximately four-to-one, making it an ideal solution for lowering waste management costs.

Both machines are available in a range of models to suit various business sizes and requirements. Easily installed and efficient to run, the waste management machines are ideal for pubs, restaurants, hotels, supermarkets, warehouses, hospitals, colleges and fast food outlets.
