One of the country’s most reputable arts institutions, The Royal Academy of Arts in London has become another high-brow organisation to include Tony Team’s refuse handling equipment into its waste management programme.

In an effort to make cost savings and help to reduce environmental impact, the Academy has incorporated a Tony Team TT150 Cardboard Baler into its catering unit, together with a Tony Team TT1100E Bin Compactor to provide a cost effective means of removing card from the waste stream and efficiently compress non-recyclable rubbish.

Tony Team Balers are compact and require minimal storage space to be fully operational both in and out of doors, while the Bin Compactor condenses waste directly into most standard four wheeled bins.  Practical and simple to use, both machines can significantly reduce the quantity of waste sent to landfill, so cutting the cost of waste disposal.

David Vobes, Facilities Manager at the Royal Academy has been impressed with the improvements that installing the new system has made:

“By using the Tony Team TT150 Baler to eliminate card from our organisation’s general rubbish, we are able to not only able to contribute to the UK’s ‘increased recycling of packaging waste’ initiative, but also make considerable savings on refuse removal costs and improve health and safety, by keeping areas tidy and clear of bulky waste.”

Remaining refuse is reduced with Tony Team’s TT1100E Bin Compactor which can reduce waste volumes by approximately four-to-one, making it an ideal solution for lowering waste management costs.

Both machines are available in a range of models to suit various business sizes and requirements.  Easily installed and efficient to run, the waste management machines are ideal for pubs, restaurants, hotels, supermarkets, warehouses, hospitals, colleges and fast food outlets.
